Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you type — income, mortgage details, balances — are not transmitted to us and are not saved on a server. Refreshing the page clears them.

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use that information only to reply to your enquiry and keep it no longer than needed for that purpose. We do not sell it or share it for marketing.

The Canadian Netpad has no user accounts, no sign-up and no password. We do not ask for or store financial account numbers, SINs or identity documents.

This site may use cookies or similar technologies for basic site functionality and aggregate traffic measurement. We may also display advertising supplied by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Those partners may set their own cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, and their handling of that data is governed by their own policies, not this one.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where available you can adjust ad personalisation directly with the advertising provider.

We link to government and other reference sites so you can verify the rates we use. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we link to.

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Where Canadian privacy legislation applies, you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through the contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Calculator results are estimates based on published federal and provincial rates, and are not tax, legal or financial advice. Confirm any figure with the CRA, Revenu Québec or a qualified professional before acting on it.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The revision date at the top of the page always reflects the current version.
